Organo/layered double hydroxide nanohybrids used to remove non ionic pesticides

► Organo/LDHs with dodecylsulfate and sebacate were synthesized by direct coprecipitation. ► The organo/LDHs prepared are good adsorbents to remove alachlor and metolachlor herbicides. ► A noticeable increase in adsorption of the herbicides on organo/LDH in respect to LDHs was observed. ► The HTSEB-MetoAds complex displays controlled release properties.
