On the zinc sorption by the Serbian natural clinoptilolite and the disinfecting ability and phosphate affinity of the exhausted sorbent

▶ The Serbian clinoptilolite can remove the zinc(II) ions from aqueous solutions. ▶ The sorption isotherm is best represented by the Langmuir model. ▶ The sorption kinetics is best described by the pseudo-second-order model. ▶ The exhausted sorbent can remove phosphate ions from solution. ▶ Dehydration the exhausted sorbent leads to formation of nano-sized ZnO particles.
