The two faces of the pharmacological interaction of mGlu2 and 5-HT2A - Relevance of receptor heterocomplexes and interaction through functional brain pathways
چکیده انگلیسی
► Broad evidence for a functional interaction in the brain of 5-HT2A and mGlu2 exists. ► The heteromerization of 5-HT2A-mGlu2 is discussed to directly account for these findings. ►Interaction of independent receptors could explain the functional cross-talk. ► A balanced review of the relevance of 5-HT2A-mGlu2 heteromers is provided. ►Questions about the existence of the putative heteromers could be addressed by new studies.
