Beneficial effects of an innovative exercise model on motor and oxidative disorders induced by haloperidol in rats

► Haloperidol-induced movement disturbances are related to neuronal degeneration. ► Exercise prevented motor disorders and reduced oxidative damages in brain regions. ► Separately, both haloperidol and exercise increased the striatal DA uptake. ► Exercise plus haloperidol reduced the striatal DA uptake. ► Exercise modulates DA uptake improving motor disorders related to neurodegeneration.
