The effects of (±)-Praeruptorin A on airway inflammation, remodeling and transforming growth factor-β1/Smad signaling pathway in a murine model of allergic asthma

► The anti-asthma effects of (±)-Praeruptorin A (PA) were studied using a murine model. ► PA significantly suppressed airway inflammation and airway remodeling in model mice. ► These effects may be due to its ability to intervene with TGF-β1 signaling pathway. ► PA was proved to be a potential candidate for the long-term treatment of severe asthma.
