Inhibition of metastatic lung cancer in C57BL/6 mice by liposome encapsulated all trans retinoic acid (ATRA)

► We have successfully encapsulated ATRA in DSPC/cholesterol liposome. ► We compared the anticancer effect of free ATRA and encapsulated ATRA in vivo. ► More level of ATRA was found in serum and lung tissues of encapsulated ATRA treatment. ► More efficient anticancer effect is observed in encapsulated ATRA treatment.
