A bispecific antibody against IL-1β and IL-17A is beneficial for experimental rheumatoid arthritis

► We constructed a bispecific antibody against both human IL-1β and IL-17A. ► A novel hinge element was used to replace the common GS linker. ► Cross-link assay proved that scBsAb1/17 binds to both its targets simultaneously. ► scBsAb1/17 is superior to its corresponding single-chain Ab in ease of RA models.
