Anti-tumor and immunomodulatory activity of resveratrol in vitro and its potential for combining with cancer immunotherapy

► The dose-dependent immunosuppressive effect of RV in preventing ADCC facilitated by hu14.18-IL2 immunotherapy in vitro. ► That RV at a tumor suppressive in vivo dose of 50 mg/kg is not immunosuppressive in vivo. ► This RV dose induces in vivo levels (1 mcM) that are not toxic to tumor cells or immune cells in vitro. ► Toxic effects of RV on immune and tumor cells in vitro are seen at RV levels ≥ 25 mcM.
