Inhibitory effect of cepharanthine on dendritic cell activation and function

►The plant alkaloid cepharanthine (CEP) inhibits antigen uptake by dendritic cells. ►CEP also inhibits the maturation of dendritic cells induced by lipopolysaccharide. ►CEP may have potential as an immunoregulatory agent against autoimmune diseases.
