Evaluation of the wound healing property of Boesenbergia longiflora rhizomes

The EtOH extract and CHCl3 fraction of Boesenbergia longiflora showed potent wound healing effect through nitric oxide inhibition, and stimulatory effects on fibroblast migration and collagen production. From phytochemical screening, the CHCl3 fraction of Boesenbergia longiflora was found to contain diarylheptanoids, flavonoids and terpenes.307
