Evaluation of antinociceptive effect of Aegiceras corniculatum stems extracts and its possible mechanism of action in rodents

Aegiceras corniculatum methanol extract reduced the levels of prostaglandins peripherally and n-hexane extract inhibited neurogenic pain via opioid system. Ethyl acetate and n-hexane extracts significantly attenuated naloxone-induced morphine withdrawal syndrome. GABAergic system providing another possible route for analgesic action of this medicinal plant.
