► From among the studied mycotoxins (AFs, DON, ZEA and OTA), DON was the most frequently found. ► Wheat bran samples were more often contaminated than oat bran samples. ► Bran accounts for an important percentage of DON intake in the diet. ► First study in dietary fibre.
