Purification and characterization of a nitric oxide inhibitory peptide from Ruditapes philippinarum

► Enzymatic hydrolysates from Ruditapes philippinarum were scanned in vitro to search the nitric oxide inhibition activity. ► The derived peptide was purified using high performance liquid chromatography to identify any potent NO-inhibitory activity. ► The sequence of nitric oxide inhibitory peptide was Gln-Cys-Gln-Gln-Ala-Val-Gln-Ser-Ala-Val. ► The purified peptide of R. philippinarum could be serve a natural anti-inflammatory material.
