Risedronate does not reduce mechanical loading-related increases in cortical and trabecular bone mass in mice

► We assessed the combined effect of a bisphosphonate and loading on bone structure. ► Non-invasive tibia loading and a 1000-fold dose range of risedronate were used. ► Loading significantly increased both cortical and trabecular bone mass. ► Risedronate does not reduce the osteogenic effect of loading.
