Chemokines plasma levels in preterm newborns of preeclamptic mothers

► In this study we compared preterm of preeclamptic and non-preeclamptic mothers. ► We examined IL-8 and GRO-α plasma levels of both groups. ► We find that IL-8 levels are lower in infants of preeclamptic mothers, and GRO-α plasma levels are similar. ► We suggest that preterm infants of preeclamptic mothers have an impaired leukocyte activation.
