⺠Adipose tissue inflammation is not affected by IL-6 deficiency in mice. ⺠IL-6 KO obese mice do not develop leukocytosis but have reduced platelet numbers. ⺠SAA-1 is the only acute-phase protein that requires IL-6 for induction by obesity.
