CFTR haplotypes in northern Iranian population

► c.1408A>G , c.1210-12T[5-9] and c.744-33GATT[6-8] were analyzed in CFTR gene. ► c.1408A>G is the most informative single marker in Iranian population. ► c.1210-12T[7] is present in 87% of normal and non- F508del CF chromosomes. ► A; 9; 6 haplotype is in linkage disequilibrium with F508del. ► A; 7; 6 haplotype is mostly present in normal chromosomes.
