Molecular typing and drug susceptibility of Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates from Chongqing Municipality, China

► We firstly perform molecular epidemiology study in the Chongqing region of China. ► Beijing genotype is the most prevalent genotype in Chongqing. ► 10-VNTR locus set is an optimal combination for strains collected in Chongqing. ► We observe the predicted transmission pathway in the clustered strains.
