Circulating of human bocavirus 1, 2, 3, and 4 in pediatric patients with acute gastroenteritis in Thailand

► Epidemiological study of HBoV in children with diarrhea in Thailand was conducted. ► Among 222 fecal specimens tested, 17 (7.7%) were positive for HBoV. ► The partial VP1 sequences demonstrated that all four species of HBoV were identified. ► One HBoV strain showed a unique characteristic similar to the rare HBoV4. ► HBoVs circulated in Thailand were genetically diverse.
