Daily rhythms of clock gene expression, glycaemia and digestive physiology in diurnal/nocturnal European seabass

►Feeding rhythm of seabass influenced the daily patterns of digestive function. ►Amylase activity peaked during the feeding-phase in both diurnal/nocturnal fish. ►Higher glucose levels occurred at night in both feeding groups. ►Per1 expression was food-entrained, being higher in diurnal seabass. ►Per1 expression in brain showed daily rhythmicity, entrained only by light.
