Differential proteomic distribution of TTR (pre-albumin) forms in serum and HDL of patients with high cardiovascular risk

► TTR shows important changes in serum and HDL proteomes of AMI- and FH-patients. ► Inverse relationship between tTTR levels and cardiovascular risk factors after AMI. ► AMI-patients with diabetes and dyslipemia show significant lower tTTR levels. ► The HDL fraction transports the monomeric form of TTR. ► FH-patients with a previous cardiovascular episode have decreased levels of mTTR.
