Impact of systolic time intervals on the relationship between arterial stiffness and left ventricular hypertrophy

► We investigated the impact of bPEP/bET on baPWV and LVH. ► 1146 Patients were classified into four groups according to bPEP/bET and baPWV. ► Patients with high baPWV and low baPWV but high bPEP/bET were associated with LVH. ► Further adjustment for bPEP/bET made the association between baPWV and LVH disappear. ► bPEP/bET should be considered while interpreting correlation between baPWV and LVH.
