Poly methacrylic acid modified CDHA nanocomposites as potential pH responsive drug delivery vehicles

► pH sensitive polymethacrylic acid- CDHA nanocomposites have been synthesized. ► The high aspect ratio needle like particles had a half life of 8 h. ► They exhibited an increase in swelling behaviour with pH. ► The polymethacrylic acid- CDHA nanocomposites gave better loading compared to the CDHA nanocomposites. ► These blood compatible nanocomposites showed good uptake on C6 glioma cells.
