Cortico-striatal connectivity and cognition in normal aging: A combined DTI and resting state fMRI study

► Multimodal MRI (anatomical T1, rs-fMRI,, DTI) was applied to 100 healthy elderly. ► Resting state networks (RSNs) were extracted by independent component analysis. ► Unique fiber bundles connecting cortical and subcortical RSNs were extracted. ► Structural integrity (FA) correlated with executive function and processing speed.
