A stand-alone method for anatomical localization of NIRS measurements

► NIRS signals can be localized using measurements from a 3D digitizer. ► Applying geometric constraints allows modeling of the optode holder. ► This enables measurement denoising and unbiased cortical projection. ► The result is robust to individual anatomical differences and improves accuracy. ► This method has been implemented in a publicly available Matlab toolbox - NAP.
