Thermal effects of different kind influencing lubricated non-conformal contacts

► Specimens with different diameters tested against a glass disc. ► Specimens connected to steel shafts with and without a ceramic insert. ► Several rolling speeds and slide-to-roll ratios tested. ► Increase of friction is found when the ceramic insert is used. ► Ceramic insert does not affect significantly the friction curves shape and the film thickness.
