Sorption enhanced steam reforming of ethanol on hydrotalcite-like compounds impregnated with active copper

► Sorption enhanced steam reforming of ethanol can be performed on CuMgAl based materials. ► A new preparation method was employed to an ensemble of catalyst and sorbent. ► CuMgAl materials have a similar carbon dioxide adsorption capacity as pure hydrotalcites.
