Modeling ultrafiltration of gelatin-water suspension by computational fluid dynamics

► CFD is used as powerful method in modeling UF process in two-dimension. ► Permeation of solvent is assumed as sink terms in conservation equations. ► Permeation flux is modeled with relative error less than 2% in steady state. ► Permeate flux increases via increase in pressure, feed velocity and concentration. ► Solute rejection coefficient has no sensible effect on permeate flux.
