Pressure drop in pulsed extraction columns with internals of discs and doughnuts

► Pressure drop in discs-doughnuts column with pulsed flow is studied. ► Pressure drop of a pulsed flow is significantly higher than that of a permanent flow. ► Correlation for calculation of mean pressure drop is developed. ► Comparison to other correlations and to experimental data is done.
