Axial mixing and mass transfer investigation in a pulsed packed liquid-liquid extraction column using plug flow and axial dispersion models

► In this study we proposed three empirical correlations for the prediction of Koca, Ec and Ed. ► We compare average absolute relative error obtained for plug flow model and axial dispersed model. ► The most affecting parameter on axial mixing is drop size distribution of the dispersed phase.
