Carbon dioxide absorption in a cross-flow rotating packed bed

▶ The cross-flow RPB is an effective absorber for CO2 absorption process. ▶ The CO2 removal efficiency for the MEA aqueous solution is superior to that for the NaOH and AMP aqueous solutions in the cross-flow RPB. ▶ The CO2 removal efficiency increases with the rotor speed, liquid flow rate, and MEA concentration, but decreases with gas flow rate and CO2 concentration in the cross-flow RPB.
