Development of hybrid membrane bioreactor for tannery effluent treatment

► Electrocoagulation increased the biodegradability index of tannery wastewater. ► Activated sludge process was done, followed by dead end filtration. ► It is proposed that the HMBR increased permeate flux. ► It increased the treatment efficiency and reduced fouling.
