Solar power-driven humidification-dehumidification (HDH) process for desalination of brackish water

► Evaporation processes were studied under a free or forced convection mode. ► The forced convection mode has much more yield than the free mode. ► The equations of water yield with evaporation temperature were given. ► The equations of water yield with cooling temperature were given. ► The feasibility of this HDH system was proved by cost analysis.
