A new apparatus for seawater desalination by gas hydrate process and removal characteristics of dissolved minerals (Na+, Mg2+, Ca2+, K+, B3+)

► A new apparatus suggested for seawater desalination by gas hydrate principle. ► In a single-stage hydrate process, 72-80% of dissolved minerals were removed. ► Rejection of dissolved minerals strongly depends on the ionic size and charge. ► Suggested method and apparatus can improve the desalination processes.
