Differential expression of miRNA-146a-regulated inflammatory genes in human primary neural, astroglial and microglial cells

► miRNA-146a is a brain-enriched miRNA involved in inflammation in multiple human brain cell types. ► miRNA-146a is up-regulated in human brain cells stressed with Aβ42 peptides + TNFα. ► Up-regulated miRNA-146a was found to be associated with down-regulation of CFH, IRAK-1, and TSPAN12. ► Different brain cell types each respond differently to Aβ42 + TNFα-triggered stress.
