Insect pest management programmes and results from their application in two large museum collections in Berlin and Vienna

► IPM and monitoring was introduced in ten museums of the SPK in Berlin. ► Results are compared with eight collections of the Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien. ► Clothes moths, drugstore and varied carpet beetle were the most commune pests. ► Distribution of the insect pests and the success of the IPM programs are discussed.
