Entamoeba invadens: Dynamics of DNA synthesis during differentiation from trophozoite to cyst

► During encystation of Entamoeba invadens cells, rapid DNA synthesis is observed at early time points (0-8 h). ► Flow cytometry data reveals arrest of E. invadens cells in G0/G1 stage during encystations. ► Two nucleated stage seems to be the intermediate stage during transition from uni-nucleated trophozoites to quadrinucleated cysts.
