High temperature effects on out-patient visits and hospital admissions in Chiang Mai, Thailand

► We examined the effects of temperature on daily morbidity in Chiang Mai, Thailand. ► An increased morbidity was associated with high temperatures. ► The high temperature effects were found to be delayed up to 2 weeks. ► Larger estimates were observed among the elderly than other age groups. ► This information is useful for establishing health interventions during hot periods.
