Analysis of long- and short-term temporal variations of the diffuse CO2 emission from Timanfaya volcano, Lanzarote, Canary Islands

► Long- and short-term variations of diffuse CO2 emission were investigated. ► Annual and seasonal discrete CO2 efflux surveys were performed. ► A continuous recording of CO2 efflux was carried out. ► MRA indicates a strong external control on the diffuse CO2 degassing. ► Soil CO2 efflux transport is not structural controlled.
