Characteristics of water-soluble ions and carbon in fine and coarse particles collected near an open burning site

► We evaluate aerosol water-soluble ions and carbons near an open burning site. ► During the open burning, the OC and K+ contents markedly increase. ► K+/Na+ and Cl−/Na+ ratios may be used as indexes associated with the open burning.
