Equilibrium and transient sorption of vapours and gases in the polymer of intrinsic microporosity PIM-1

► Gas/vapour sorption in PIM-1 was determined at 25 °C using spiral balances. ► Gas/vapour isotherms were parameterized with GAB layered-adsorption model. ► Sorption isotherms exhibited various trends (S-shaped, linear, concave and convex). ► Transient sorption of organic compounds in PIM-1 shows anomalously fast diffusion. ► Distinct trends in correlations of D and S coefficients with molecular properties.
