Preparation and characterizations of charged poly(vinyl butyral) hollow fiber ultrafiltration membranes with perfluorosulfonic acid as additive

► Charged PVB hollow fiber membranes were spun with PFSA as additive. ► The fabricated PVB membranes have a negative zeta potential. ► The zeta potential increases with increasing PFSA content in PVB membranes. ► PFSA content and bore fluid influence the morphology and properties of membranes.
