Preparation and modification of thin film PA membranes with improved antifouling property using acrylic acid and UV irradiation

► New modified thin layer membranes were prepared. ► Acrylic acid and UV-irradiation were employed for completion the modification. ► Anti fouling property of modified membranes was improved significantly. ► Flux and rejection capability of the membranes were increased after modification. ► The hydrophilicity of the modified membranes was enhanced during the modification.
