New disinfectant to control biofouling of polyamide reverse osmosis membrane

► Dichloroisocyanurate (DCC) is suggested as a new disinfectant for RO membrane. ► Permeate flux and salt rejection were rarely changed even by high DCC-exposure. ► The antimicrobial effect of DCC on biofilm was better than chlorine.
