Evaluation of chlorophyll-a remote sensing algorithms for an optically complex estuary

► Chla algorithms for turbid coastal waters are tested for CDOM-dominated estuary. ► It is the first time to use satellite imagery to validate those algorithms. ► Result is interesting that the simplest band-ratio showed the best performance. ► The approach showed general applicability for other estuarine waters.
