A global dataset of atmospheric aerosol optical depth and surface reflectance from AATSR

► Aerosol radiative forcing is a major source of uncertainty in climate modelling. ► We present a 7-year global dataset of aerosol properties and surface reflectances. ► The retrieval method uses AATSR radiance measurements. ► AODs agree well with surface-based measurements and with monthly MISR and MODIS. ► The dataset is available for users to download from ESA's G-POD facility.
