Evaluation of landfill leachate treatment by advanced oxidative process by Fenton's reagent combined with membrane separation system

► Combining AOP with a MSP presents a number of benefits and provides an adequate solution for the landfill leachate treatment. ► The results showed that the leachate used in this study presented characteristics of stabilized landfill. ► A high efficient removal of COD, true color and humic substances was observed during AOP/Fenton under optimized conditions. ► The AOP in conjunction with MPS is a superior solution for fast, compact and efficient when compared to conventional systems.
