Modeling of the reburning process using sewage sludge-derived syngas

► Gasification provides an attractive method for sewage sludges treatment. ► Gasification generates a fuel gas (syngas) which can be used as a reburning fuel. ► Reburning potential of sewage sludge gasification gases was defined. ► Numerical simulation of co-combustion of syngases in coal fired boiler has been done. ► Calculation shows that analysed syngases can provide higher than 80% reduction of NOx.
