Analysis of flux enhancement at oscillating flat surface membranes

► We investigated membrane microfiltration enhancement using oscillatory motion. ► Existing filtration models failed to predict the flux. ► We modeled the flux using combined diffusive and quasi-steady state mechanisms. ► Comparison of the model predictions with the experimental data was satisfactory.
