Preparation and characterization of poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) based ultrafiltration membranes using nano γ-Al2O3

▶ PVDF membranes prepared from a complex casting solution. ▶ FTIR shows existence of reaction between basic γ-Al2O3 and PVDF. ▶ Hydrophilicity of PVDF increased after addition of γ-Al2O3. ▶ Mechanical strength of the membrane retained.
